2 girls drown in Ilocos Sur

CAMP
QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur-Two more young girls drowned Tuesday in a series of
drowning incidents in the province.
Police
report said Julie del Cruz 13, of Gongogong, San Ildefonso town, and her
conpanions were swimming at Botobot, BarangayMiramar, Magsingal, when she was
carried by string current and drowned.
Police said that joint
elements of Disaster, Fire, Coast Guard amd Maritime retrieved the body of the
victim of drowning incident floating along the shore line of Sitio Botobot.
Another victim named as
Ushel Hanniel Sablay, grade 6 pupil at Pug-os Elementary School,Cabugao, Ilocos
Sur and resident of same barangay also drowned along the shoreline of
BarangayPug-os, Cabugao.
According
to reports, the victim with five other children were swimming along the
shoreline where two victims were carried away by strong current.
After two hours of
searching, thebody of Sablay was retrieved along the shoreline of Pug-os.
Victim
was rushed to Suero hospital but pronounced dead on arrival by attending
physician.
