New Cordi police director to ease bloody Abra polls stigma

DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Removing the stigma and transforming Abra into
a peaceful and safe province, especially during elections, will be one of the
priorities of new Cordillera police director Chief Supt. Israel Ephraim
Dickson.
Being born and raised in
San Juan, Abra, Dickson said he had long envisioned Abra as safe especially
elections in his home province.
“We are in the crucial
point of history again with the forthcoming of midterm elections, I expect
everyone to be alert and vigilant and contribute to the realization of our goal
in securing the safety and peaceful election, not only in Abra, but in the
whole region,” said Dickson.
He said that, under his
leadership, the police will continue and relentlessly support the President’s
war on drugs campaign. “We will evaluate, re-assess and craft programs to
strengthen our fight on illegal drugs and peace and order campaign will ensure
and safeguard Cordillera from the insurgency, crime, and lawlessness.”
He also said that
“scalawags” will not be tolerated under his term and reminded everyone to
maintain transparency and accountability of personnel
Director of the Directorate for
Integrated Police Operations-Northern Luzon (DIPO-NL) Police Director Eric
Serafin Reyes presided in the change of command ceremony and the
retirement honors for outgoing Regional Director, Chief Supt. Rolando
Nana.
PROCOR recognized the
faithful and dedicated service of Nana for serving the PNP. A “Medalya Ng
Paglilingkod” was awarded to him for having completed 37 years, 11 months and
14 days of honorable services to the PNP from April 1,1981 to March 15, 2019.
He also received
“Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod” for rendering service as acting Regional
Director of PROCOR for two months and in full capacity as Regional Director for
seven months.
During his stint, he
implemented policing strategies to strengthen the operational capability of
PROCOR in pursuit of the PNP’s organizational thrust to serve and protect.
