poured Php350 million for utilization of TESDA on skills training and
assessment and development of training regulations and curricula for the
transportation sector from 2019 to 2022. He urged all stakeholders to avail of
the free training or livelihood assistance.

Utility Modernization Program (PUVMP). The target beneficiaries include but
not limited to displaced persons affected by the PUVMP, stakeholders who
opt to voluntarily exit from the transport industry, stakeholders who opt to continue
in the transport industry, new stakeholders in the transport industry, and

Wong said scholarship
benefits includes training support fund to cover food and transportation
allowance equivalent to P350 per training day attended for a maximum of 35
days.
The TVI/Enterprise must not exceed any fee not authorized
by TESDA.
Administrative and financial procedures state that payments should be done on the basis of the attendance to the training of the beneficiaries clearly showing that the actual training was conducted by the TVI/Enterprise concerned and that the beneficiaries named in the attendance sheet actually attended the said training.
Scholars are assured of employment or livelihood assistance after their training, Wong said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Henry Gupaal representing Gov. Jocel Baac said the “Tsuper Iskolar” program will be of great help to the transport business as he assured also the province’s support for its success. (JDP/ PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
