Bocap held for raping niece, 15

CLAVERIA, Cagayan -- A village chairman of this town was arrested on Sept. 1 for allegedly raping his niece even as charges for obstruction of justice were filed against school officials for reportedly concealing the crime. 

S/Sgt. Christine Marie Asuncion said Sanchez Mira Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Gemma Bucayu-Madrid issued the warrant of arrest.

No bail was recommended.

Asuncion said the victim claimed she was raped by the barangay captain since she was eight years old. The victim and her younger sibling had been under the care of the suspect since 2011 when their mother went abroad to work.

The victim said she reported her sexual ordeal to the guidance counselor and principal of their school, but was told not to report the incident to the police. 

Man nabbed in Buguias for attempted murder 

BUGUIAS, Benguet – Police arrested a certain Levi Kuangey Placido Thursday here at Upper Abatan for attempted murder.

This, after Judge Daniel D. Mangalay of RTC Branch 64, Buguias, issued warrant against him with bail of P120,000. The suspect was incarcerated at the local jail.

Four arrested in Bangued pot session

BANGUED, Abra -- Police arrested four persons after a concerned citizen reported an ongoing pot session here at Beneza Compound, Zone 1 Monday afternoon.

Arrested were Jewel Daipan Guinay, 20 and three minors aged 17 and 16 years old, all ALS students. Seized from them were cellophane containing suspected marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, and four cell phones. 

Tricycle driver nabbed for shabu

BANGUED, Abra – A certain Reynaldo Rosario Pensayo, 47, tricycle driver, resident of Banbani, Padangitan, was arrested in a buy-bust operation early morning Tuesday here at Rizal St., Zone 7 by police and drug agents.

Confiscated from Pensayo were sachet containing suspected shabu, P1, 000 cash, drug paraphernalia, Nokia cellphone,  lighter, and knife.

 4 nabbed in Tuba for illegal gambling

TUBA, Benguet – Four persons were arrested here at Yenyen Billiard Hall in Gusaran, Camp 6, Tuba Monday morning by Tuba police and Intelligence personnel of Benguet Provincial Police Office.

Nabbed for illegal gambling were  Jimly Pago, 28; Alex Tao-ey, 30; Jerry Liclic, 56; and Clifford Dasing, 35, all residents of Gusaran. Confiscated from them were ₱380 bet money and assorted mahjong paraphernalia.

Woman held in Solano for theft

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya – A woman was arrested here at Barangay Bascalan Tuesday for theft. Nabbed was Veronica Aquino Postadan after Judge Modesto D. Bahul Jr., of 5th MCTC, Tuba-Sablan, Benguet issued warrant against her with bail set at P38, 000.

The suspect was brough to  Baguio City Subject person was brought to Baguio CPO for documentation prior turn over to the court concerned.

Man jailed for rape in Pasil

PASIL, Kalinga – A certain Jeckil Dongan Dalunag wanted for rape was jailed after he was arrested here Tuesday at Barangay Magsilay.

This, after warrant was issued against him by Randy B. Bulwayan, judge of RTC, Branch 39, Lubuagan, Kalinga with no bail recommended.

Rape lands man in Baguio jail

BAGUIO CITY – A certain Roderick Lucero Bonayog was arrested for rape here Tuesday at Upper San Vicente by cops.

Ivan Kim B. Morales, judge of RTC, Branch 59, Regional Trial Court earlier issued warrant against Bonayog with no bail.

P120-K bail for man in attempted murder

MANABO, Abra – A man wanted for attempted murder was arrested here Monday at Barangay Luzong. Nabbed was Dexter Combis Bulda after warrant was issued against him by Homer Jay D. Ragonjan, acting presiding judge of RTC, Branch 1, Bangued.

The judge set bail of P120, 000 for Bulda’s temporary liberty.

Man arrested for rape in La Trinidad

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police said a man was arrested here Monday for rape at Barangay Kesbeng.

Nabbed was Alvin Fugnay Duyao after Jorge S. Manaois Jr., presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 10, First Judicial Region, La Trinidad, Benguet issued warrant against him with no bail recommended.

Estafa lands man in Bucay jail

BUCAY, Abra – Cops collared a man here Tuesday for estafa at Barangay Bugbog. The suspect was identified as Marino Bernal Bicera after warrant was issued against him by German F. Ballesteros III, assisting judge of MTC, First Judicial Region who set bail of P6, 000 for the accused’s temporary liberty.

BAGUIO CITY – Police apprehended a certain Jhon Wayne Facullo Ducusin here Monday at Barangay Ambiong for theft. An arrest warrant was earlier issued against the suspect by Ivan Kim Morales, Judge of RTC, Branch 59, Baguio City with bail set at P12, 000.

BAGUIO CITY – A certain Justine Salazar Rupad was arrested here Monday at Luna St. Purok 7, Apugan, Irisan, for theft.

Warrant was earlier issued against him by Ivan Kim Morales, judge of RTC Branch 59, Baguio City who set bail of P36, 000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

Nabbed was Irene Tuggad Secuaten after warrant was issued against her by Roberto R. Mabalot, presiding judge of MTCC, Branch 1, Baguio City with bail set at P20, 000.

Man held for rape in Bokod

BOKOD, Benguet – A certain Mario Salbias Belino was arrested here Monday at Leboong, Tikey for rape.

The suspect was the object of an arrest warrant issued earlier by Merianthe PM Zuraek, presiding judge of RTC, Branch 29, 2nd Judicial Region, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The judge denied bail to the suspect.

Man arrested for violence posts bail

BAGUIO CITY – A man was apprehended here Monday for violation of Republic Act 9262 (violence against women and children) along km 5 Marcos Highway.

The suspect named as Ferdinand Dacumos Obraby was the object of an arrest warrant issued by Ivan Kim B Morales, judge of First Judicial Region, RTC, Branch 59, Baguio City.

The judge set bail of P40, 000 for Obraby’s temporary liberty.

The accused immediately posted bail.

Man nabbed in Pasil for rape

PASIL, Kalinga – A man was arrested here Monday at Barangay Magsilay for rape. Nabbed was Jeckil Dongan Dalunag after warrant was issued against him by Randy B. Bulwayan, judge of RTC, Branch 39, Lubuagan, Kalinga.

No bail was set for Dalunag who was incarcerated at the local jail.
