Tuba cop kicks, points rifle at peer

TUBA, Benguet – Two
police officers are now the object of an investigation after they figured in an
altercation which nearly turned bloody.
A police
report said around 11:40 a.m. Monday, Chief Master Sgt. Artemio Jose M. Haboc,
44, married, assigned at Barangay
Yagyagan PNP post and resident of Sun Flower Homes, Alno, La Trinidad,
Benguet reported to Tuba police he was a victim of an alleged case of physical
injuries and grave threat which transpired at about 8:30 p.m. of Sept.7 at PCP
Yagyagan, Tadiangan.
He named the
suspect as Master Sgt. Jeffrey C. Lumiyac, also assigned at Yagyagan.
Haboc said
both were on duty when Lumiyac approached and confronted him resulting to
heated argument between the two. Lumiyac got irked and suddenly kicked Haboc on
his chest then got his M-16 rifle and pointed it to him but the latter grabbed
the rifle until they were pacified by Master Sgt. Victorio.
