CSC honors Cordillera outstanding civil servants

BAGUIO CITY -- The Civil Service Commission
-Cordillera(CSC-CAR) led the recognition of outstanding civil servants in
the region in the 2019 CSC Regional Honors and Awards
Program(HAP) dubbed as “Parangal Para Sa Mga Katangi–tanging, Lingkod–Bayani
ng Kordilyera ” on September 25 at the Paragon Hotel
here.
Dr. Maria Lourdes
Trajano, Medical Specialist III of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical
Center (BGHMC) led this year’s cream of the crop as 2019 Dangal ng Bayan
national awardee. She is instrumental in introducing innovations at the BGHMC’s
pediatric department and in strengthening the framework of hospital’s Pediatric
Residency Training Program.
Other regional
Dangal ng Bayan awardees are Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA) – CAR Administrative Assistant III
Nancy Dasayon, Department of Education(DepEd) – Ifugao Teacher III Laureen
Lunag, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – CAR Jail Warden John Melecio,
DepEd - Benguet Principal IV Niño Tibangay, and Commission on Audit(COA)
– CAR Atty. IV Josephine Tilan.
The Dangal ng Bayan is
conferred to outstanding officials and employees for performance of an extra –
ordinary act or public service, as guided by Republic Act 6713 or the Code of
Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
For– individual
category, awardees are Baguio City Assessor Maria Almaya Addawe,
BGHMC Technician III Benjamin Amisola, DepEd – Ifugao Teacher III Sharon
Ballogan, BGHMC Medical Officer III Rodel Banggiacan, DOH – CAR Sr.
Health Program Officer Clint Gil Ildefonso, and BGHMC Computer Maintenance
Technician Robert Obligado.
For CSC PAGASA award-
group category, awardees are Cabacab Elementary School- DepEd Division of
Benguet, BGHMC Infection Prevention and Control Committee, and COA – CAR Audit
Team.
The PAGASA award is
given to individual or group of individuals for outstanding contributions
resulting from an idea or performance that directly benefit more than one
department of the government.
For the Presidential
Lingkod Bayan Award – individual category, regional awardees are former Baguio
City Mayor Mauricio Domogan and DOH - CAR Sr. Health Program
Officer Karen Lonogan.
For the group category
award, recipients are the COA – CAR Composite Team, the Alternative Learning System
of DepEd Baguio, the National Coffee Industry Cluster Team of Department of
Trade and Industry – CAR, and the Neurology Department of BGHMC.
The Presidential Lingkod
Bayan Award is conferred to an individual or group of individuals for
exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or
performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security and
patrimony.
CSC also awarded the
“Pamanang Lingkod Bayani”, which include a plaque of recognition and a P100,000
check, to the family of Romualdo Luglug, a heavy equipment operator of DPWH –
Ifugao 2nd Engineering District, who died in the line of duty – in a vehicular
accident during a road clearing and slide removal operations on October 25,
2017 in Banaue, Ifugao.
CSC Central Office HR
Policies and Standards Office Director IV lawyer Rodolfo Encajonado, led the
awarding, and assisted by CSC – CAR Regional Director Marilyn Taldo and Asst.
RD Cornelia Rillera with HAP Regional Screening Committee member, Philippine
Information Agency Regional Director Helen Tibaldo.
Encajonado, in his
keynote message, expressed the CSC’s congratulations to the regional awardees,
who represent the best of government service in Cordillera and serve as the
country’s heroes and role models in public service.
He also encouraged the
awardees to continue bringing in “Malasakit” in government service and serve as
the country’s and role models in the goal of shaping all public servants to
become “Lingkod Bayani” or heroes of public service. (JDP/CCD-PIA CAR)
