MALOLOS, Bulacan — At least 67 police
officers in Bulacan serving as security escorts to local chief executives and
private individuals have been recalled.
Brig. Gen.
Rhodel Sermonia, Central Luzon police director, issued a memorandum ordering
the recall of unauthorized security detail in line with the implementation of a
“one strike policy” for violators of the Revised Guidelines and Procedures
Governing Availment of Protective Security to Government Officials, Diplomats
and Private Individuals Authorized to be Given Protection.
Col. Emma
Libunao, acting Bulacan police director, said she sent official communications
to concerned local chief executives, former elected officials and private
individuals on the strict implementation of the memorandum circular.
The recalled
police personnel were assigned at the provincial holding and administrative
unit to undergo retraining.
They will be
required to attend the ”pulisteniks” fitness program and participate in other
command activities.
Libunao said the police
officers would be deployed in stations where there are inadequate personnel.
