Businesswoman nabbed for selling overpriced alcohol

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan — Joint personnel of San Carlos City Police, DTI Pangasinan and Pangasinan Investigation Branch, Pangasinan PPO arrested a businesswoman in a buy bust operation for selling overpriced Isopropyl alcohol here in Barangay Bolingit.

Lt. Col. Franklin Ortiz, chief of police, identified the suspect as Melodie Cayabyab, 24.

She was arrested after selling eight bottles of 500 ml Family Brand Isopropyl Alcohol for P190 each to the PNP poseur buyer on Wednesday.

A P500 buy bust money was recovered from her possession.

The suspect and confiscated items were brought to San Carlos Police for proper disposition.

Prior to her arrest, an informant reported to the DTI that the suspect was engaged in selling overpriced alcohol.
