PNP starts manhunt vs rapist in Cagayan

TUAO, Cagayan – Police of this town are searching for a man, who was a suspect in raping a 22-year -old woman here in Barangay Purok 5, Bagumbayan.

The Police Regional Office 2 identified the suspect as Eduardo Espinosa, 52, farmer and resident of Purok 5.

He was accused of raping his neighbor.

Tuao Police said they received a call from Barangay Kagawad Reymundo Bauit, asking for police assistance to locate and arrest the suspect regarding a rape incident that transpired in their barangay.

The police said suspect will be facing charges of rape and violation of RA 11332 known as Law on reporting of Communicable Diseases.

Meanwhile, five persons on board a red Hyundai Van bearing plate number XCD 415 were arrested in Barangay Patagueleg, Peñablanca, when flagged down at a quarantine checkpoint.

              Barangay officials manning the checkpoint told police suspects violated the enhanced community quarantine aside from reeking of liquor.

Arrested were Teodoro Barcelona, 34; Arnel Barcelona, 42; Early Gueroro, 56; and Pablo Quizzagan Jr, all residents of Madella St. Bagay, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

They were brought to Peñablanca Police Station for proper disposition.
