Bontoc villages cited for budget

BONTOC, Mountain Province - Five barangays of this municipality were cited by Bontoc municipal government for early submission of their 2021 annual budget. 
    Barangays Dalican, Tocucan, Bontoc Ili, Gonogon, and Alab Proper received certificates of recognition as best performing barangays as evidenced by their early submission of the 2021 barangay budget and sangguniang kabataan budget during the Municipal Peace and Order Council meeting on Oct. 21 in Barangay Talubin. 
    The punong barangays of the recognized villages are Reynald Waking, Sr., Wilbert Padngaran, Paula Pangesfan, Rudy Gittabao, and Hye Bellang, respectively. 
    This was the second time that the Bontoc LGU through the Municipal Budget Office cited the first five barangays which submitted their annual budgets for the ensuing fiscal year to the Sangguniang Bayan not later than Oct. 16 of the current fiscal year.
        Barangays Dalican and Tocucan received certificates of recognition second time in a row.      
    Municipal Budget Officer Aida Lingbanan said for this year, most barangays submitted their 2021 annual budgets before deadline for review and approval of the Sangguniang Bayan. 
    Lingban said early preparation and submission of the 2021 barangay budget and SK budget for review and declaring it operative by the Sangguniang Bayan has great impact in implementation of barangay government projects.  
    She added earlier submission of barangay budgets for the ensuing year means earlier implementation, and the delivery of services to the constituents will not be hampered.
