44 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The Police Regional Office here bared 44 wanted personalities were arrested in a week of operations in Cordillera June 6 to 12.
    Based on records, the Benguet Police Provincial Office had the most number of arrests with 18 arrest of wanted persons, followed by Baguio CPO with 14s, Ifugao  8; Mountain Province, 2 and Apayao and Kalinga PPO with one arrest each.
La Trinidad, Benguet police nabbed Julian Mendez Lacbao for rape with no bail recommended.
    Daniel Immatong Gano, wanted for rape was also arrested in the town including Ereneo Cobsilen Pasule for violation of Republic Act 9262 (Anti-violence against women and children Act of 2004) with recommended bail of P72, 000.

Meanwhile, Mankayan, Benguet police nabbed George Yante Paragas for lasciviousness with bail set at P180, 000.

Hingyon, Ifugao police also arrested Laurence Binwag Tuwao, for rape with no bail recommended,

Grace Mahinay Carbonilla was nabbed in Tuba, Benguet for estafa with bail set at P400, 000.

Dison Aban Capsuyan was also held for reckless imprudence and negligence bu Buguias and Kennon Road police.

Cops awarded for  big marijuana haul

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- A police officer and two non-commissioned others were awarded at regional police headquarters here June 14 for their accomplishments.  

A “medalya ng kagalingan” was awarded to Kalinga’s Lt. Julio LIngling Caweng of 2nd Provincial Mobile Force C. and Pat. Ryan Rudolf Ibay Nieves of provincial drig enforcement unit for their marijuana eradication on May 18 to 20 at Barangay Butbut Proper, Tinglayan Kalinga which resulted to destruction of 268,400 marijuana plants and 2,500 marijuana seedlings worth P53,780,000. Meanwhile, Cpl Joeriechel Binwag Moreno from Hingyon, Ifugao police received a “medalya ng ugnayang pampulisya” for helping a 2-year-old child with special needs at Sitio Luhadan, Barangay Mompolia, Hingyon on May 2. 
    Based on National Police Commission circular 93-018, awards, decorations, and citation badges are giver to all police and qualified individuals to give recognition to performance of police functions.
