Panagbenga opens in Baguio March 6

BAGUIO CITY -- The city government and Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. agreed to hold a special edition of Panagbenga this year to help in gradual and safe revival of the local economy due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The festival starts March 6 themed: "Panagbenga 2022: Let Hope Bloom."
On March 6, the festival will open with the Panagbenga Open Landscaping Exhibition (Gardenscapes) wherein residents and visitors will witness landscaping talents of neophyte and veteran landscapers in the city.
It will run until March 26.
The traditional Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya Baguio will be held on March 13 and the Panagbenga Dance Competition will take place on March 20.
On March 21 to 27, the Session Road in Bloom will be held along the city's main thoroughfare but in a limited scenario in compliance to the minimum public health standards.
Part of the Panagbenga attractions in the city is the Baguio Country Club Blooms Garden exhibit where the same will be featuring Japanese- and Korean-themed landscape at the former site of the famous Christmas Village along South Drive.
The local government will also be reopening Botanical Garden along Leonard Wood road to add up to nature attractions in the city.
On March 19 to 20, Baguio will be playing host to the 19th stage of the Ronda Pilipinas where hundreds of cyclists will be arriving in the city for the famous criterium finale.
On March 25 to 26, golf enthusiasts will be joining the traditional Flower Tee Golf at the Baguio Country Club.
Simple activities for this year's Panagbenga Festival will commence on March 27 with a closing fireworks display
