MARILAO, Bulacan – Two Chinese nationals in large-scale hijackings in the province and killed in a shootout with Bulacan police have been identified.

Six others were arrested in Barangay Patubig here last week.

Senior Supt. Allen Bantolo, acting provincial police director, identified the slain suspects as Danny Tan and Kun Meng Chen and those arrested as Arnel Mago, 27; Rodolfo Aloro, 27; Rolly Aloro, 27; Angel Tirao, 28; John Albert Tirao, 18; and Rosalindo Daut 31, a former military man.

Reports said police cornered the group after nearly a month-long surveillance. Bantolo said the suspects fired at the lawmen, triggering the shootout.

Bantolo said a Toyota Innova, a 20-footer container van and assorted items were seized in the suspects’ warehouse in Barangay Patubig.

Police conduct an inventory of the seized items, he said.
