Farmer killed by brother in-law

UMINGAN, Pangasinan – A farmer was killed here after he was shot by his brother-in-law morning of July 7 at Sitio Imus in Barangay Don Justo Abalos.

Police identified the victim as Romeo Pacites, 36, of said place. The suspect who fled after the incident was named as Willy Gaita, a native of Caranglaan, Nueva Ecija.

Investigation showed that a day prior to the incident, the victim chased his three-year-old nephew, Patrick (son of the suspect), prompting the latter’s mother, Adelina, to react but she was struck by the victim with a branch of a tree. – Jennelyn Mondejar
