CIDG’s ‘roulette’ nets 8 in gambling

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga- The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s “Oplan roulette” has bagged eight persons suspected of engaging in illegal gambling.


Reports received by Sr. Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, CIDG Central Luzon chief, said his men raided the “drop ball and color game” in Lolomboy, Bocaue town, Bulacan resulted to the apprehension of Joey Pineda, 49, perya owner; Glen de Guzman, 25, perya employee; Jason Moral, 21, perya employee and Jenny de Jesus, 26, perya employee.

The raids last week also resulted to the confiscation of P256 in different denominations and gambling paraphernalia.

Supt. Richie Posadas, CIDG chief of Bulacan, reported the four were charged with violation of Presidential Decree.1602 as amended before the Provincial Prosecutor of Malolos City docketed as IS number 08-07-0198.

In Tarlac City, Supt. Nestor Babagan, Tarlac CIDG chief, reported they arrested Johnny Lee and three others after they raided his fruit game slot machine inside the public market in San Roque, this city.

Babagan reported to Eleazar the seized machine was brought to the office of CIDG for proper disposal.

Meanwhile, in Pampanga, elements of the Pampanga CIDG headed by Supt. Dindo Saligao arrested Joal Reyes, 21 of Sta. Lucia, Magalang town and Jovet Tuazon, 20 of Resettlement area in Magalang town, after they were charged with Slight physical injury in relation to R.A.7160.

Judge Bernardita Erum of the RTC branch 61 of Angeles City recommended bail of P80,000 each of the suspect for their temporary release.
