Sr. Supt. Marvin V. Bolabola, CIDG Central Luzon chief, reported this Tuesday saying a number of the arrested persons were “top and notorious most wanted” in the provincial levels in Central Luzon .

From Oct. 8 to 30, a total of 41 have been arrested while during the period November 1-14, a total of 35 were arrested, bringing to 76 the total number of arrested wanted persons in the region for the one and half months alone.

In Bataan , Chief Insp. Ruben Tampis, Bataan CIDG chief, reported that Shreyl Manuba, 25 of Mel Luz, barangay Balagtas, Orion town was arrested after more than two years of hiding for violation of Section 5 of Article 3 in relation to R.A. 7160.

Judge Remigio Escalada of Regional Trial Court branch 3, recommended no bail for Manuba’s arrest.

In Mariveles town, Major Tampis said that they were also able to arrest Rafael Davis of barangay Alas-asin for Theft case filed before the Sala of Judge Bartolome Villaflores.

Tampis said that Davis had hidden for more than a year but resurfaced when he felt that he was no longer being hunted for a case of Theft. P24,000 was set for his temporary liberty, while Avelino Elorde of Mt. View , Mariveles town was also collared for Attempted Homicide.

A veteran police investigator being trained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bolabola said the series of arrest was a product of the CIDG’s campaign against wanted person under “Oplan Pagtugis,” to neutralize wanted persons.

“There is a tremendous increase of about 50% to 75% the number of arrested persons compared to the same month last year,” pointed out Bolabola.

He added that this was in consonance with the directive of PNP chief Jesus Versoza to neutralize all wanted criminals in the country.
