TABUK CITY – Four men have been charged for the failed attempt on the life of a broadcaster here last May 15.

Senior Supt. Wilson Lagan, Kalinga police director, identified the suspects as Jayson Bakakaw, Jeryl Ladaga, Cliford Buyao and Eurie Duyan.

The victim, Jerome Tabanganay, 44, of the government-owned dzRK Radyo ng Bayan, had just arrived for his morning program when the suspects approached him, asking who Tabanganay was.

Sensing danger, the radioman retreated inside the radio station but was still hit by bullets in the back of his right leg and knee.

He locked himself in the radio booth and called for help through the airwaves, prompting his attackers to escape. -- CL
