CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Criminal Investigation and Detection Team agents swooped down on a suspected hideout of the notorious "Agaw Motorsiklo" gang in Barangay Borol 1st, Balagtas, Bulacan, Aug. 8 in which an alleged motorcycle thief was arrested, police said.

In a report to CIDG region 3 chief Senior Supt. Richard A. Albano, Bulacan CIDT provincial officer Chief Insp. Julius Caesar V. Mana identified the arrested suspect as Antonino Regalado, alias “Nino,” 26, of said barangay.

A team of Bulacan CIDT agents, Mana said, swooped down on the area after receiving information Regalado was keeping stolen motorcycles in his compound.

Lawmen led by SP01 Edwin M. Pagsibigan found at the suspect’s rented house one stolen motorcycle.

Mana said the suspect, who was present during the raid, failed to present any documents for the motorcycle.

Citing intelligence reports, Mana said that Regalado is a suspected member and the alleged “fence” (dealer of stolen motorcycles) of the “Agaw Motorsiklo” gang operating in some parts of Bulacan.

He said members of this gang are armed with handguns and usually steal motorcycles at gun point.

Marlon Sanchez, CIDT chief investigator, said that the plate number of the Honda motorcycle they recovered was tampered.

Sanchez said the suspect is now facing case for violation of anti-fencing law, which will be filed against him before the Bulacan Provincial Prosecution Office.
