Body to ensure success of Baguio Day programs

BAGUIO CITY -- Mayor Mauricio Domogan signed administrative order 114 last week creating the executive committee for the 101st Charter Day celebrations on Sept. 1

Domogan said ensuring success of activities was needed, this the AO.

The composition of the execom includes the mayor as honorary chairman, city administrator Carlos Canilao as chairman and committee chair on tourism, and parks and special events councilor Elmer Datuin as co-chairman.

Members are city accountant Antonio Tabin, city treasurer Thelma Manaois, city budget officer Leticia Clemente, city engineer Leo Bernandez, building and architecture officer Oscar Flores and Rep. Bernardo Vergara.

The mayor’s office and city administrator’s office staff will serve as secretariat.

The committee is tasked to plan activities and oversee proper implementation and seek ways and means by which all activities are properly supported.

It is also tasked to prepare policies, guidelines and measures to ensure the success programs and activities.

The Baguio Day celebrations this year is expected to attract not only foreign but also domestic tourists.
