Mad businessman stabs 3 persons; all survive

MANKAYAN, Benguet -- When you drink liquor, put it in your stomach not into your head.
This may well apply to James Pasong Solano, 64, businessman and resident here who is now in jail here for imbibing liquor then stabbing three persons August 11 around 9:40 p.m.
A police report said Solano stabbed Edgar M. Tanglib, 30, a resident of Poblacion; Bernabe S. Rosal 34 and Vincent Yogong, 20. All were stabbed on their chest.
Rosal and Yogong, both natives of Valencia City, Bukidnon were employed as delivery boys of Aurora Tanglib.
Mankayan police said in a report at about 9:30 same date while the three victims were on board their delivery truck and descending in front of the Dumanas Store at said place, they jokingly told each other bagtit to mean crazy.
The suspect who was walking on the road and was under the influence of liquor followed them to their residence and confronted Edgar Tanglib until they had a heated argument.
The two victims reportedly pacified them and pushed the suspect to go home but the suspect stabbed them with the use of a sharp object Tanglibchased the suspect and tried to grab his weapon but he was also stabbed by the suspect and ran toward his residence.
The victims were brought by the PNP personnel to Lepanto Hospital here where they were confined. Court cases are now being prepared against Solano.
