PAMPANGA — Korean investors recently started construction of a five-star hotel in Baranggay Cutcut here, priced at P1.2 billion.

The construction of the Royal Hotel began with simple ceremonies attended by its president and CEO, Mr. Yun Jea Park, and Pampanga Gov. Lilia G. Pineda.

In her speech, Pineda expressed optimism that once the multi-billion peso investment of the Korean group of investors is in full operation, more jobs will be offered in the province.

In consonance with the establishment of the Royal Hotel, Pineda said the development of the DiosdadoMacapagal International Airport Terminal is expected to go full-blast.

The next five years will see the development of infrastructure and other support facilities around the DMIA which will enhance travel and trade in the area.

Park said having the DMIA and Clark Freeport gives Pampanga great prospects to be a booming area for business, investments and tourism in Asia.

He said his firm sees this potential and that they want to be one of the first to benefit from this by establishing the multi-billion peso hotel project.

“The DMIA in Clark Freeport, which the airport is now being developed to be the country’s premier international gateway,” said Park.

He said this means that there will surely be an expected increase in the number of both local and foreign tourists visiting Pampanga.

He said that since Porac town is just a few kilometers away from the DMIA, it is a “very good place” for investment and holiday destination for tourists.
