Drug pushers operating in Baguio, Ilocos nabbed

BAGUIO CITY – Police recently nabbed two alleged drug pushers who reportedly ply their illegal trade here and in the Ilocos Region.
Police of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group nabbed an alleged notorious pusher/supplier of dangerous drugs in a buy-bust operation here Oct. 25 at about 7 p.m. at Barangay Quezon Hill Extension.
The operatives led by Senior Insp. Melchor Nawi Ong in coordination with the Philippine Drug enforcement Agency agents here arrested a taxi driver identified as Jericho O. Cedo, 28 of Barangay Central Fairview Barangay.
During the operation, the team confiscated a piece of transparent heat sealed plastic sachet containing shabu and weighing zero 0.4 grams including the plastic sachet valued at P2,400 from the suspect.
The Lawmen also recovered the buy bust money consisting of P1,000 bill and a cellphone from the suspect.
The illegal drugs were turned over to the PNP Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis while a case for dangerous drugs was prepared against the suspect for filing in court.
The same operatives earlier arrested a supplier of dangerous drug operating around Pangasinan, La Union and Baguio City on Oct. 13 at Governor Pack Road in Baguio.
The operatives arrested Jimmy Abalos Jr., 24 of San Julian East, Agoo , La Union.
Confiscated from Abaloswas shabu weighing 0.9 grams valued at P10,620 and cash worth P2,000.
A case for illegal drugs was fled against Abalos.
These, after newly designated Cordillera police director Benjamin B. Magalong ordered intensified operations against illegal drugs.
