Shawarma vendors, jobless man nabbed for illegal drugs

BAGUIO CITY -- Two shawarma vendors and a
jobless man here were arrested last week for peddling marijuana including shabu
in separate incidents.
Agents
of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera apprehended the two after they sold marijuana
bricks to a narcotics agent who posed as buyer around 7 p.m. last April 19 here
at the 7 Eleven Store, Caltex Gas Station, Otek St.
The
confiscated marijuana brick, weighed 248.11 grams and was valued at P6,202.75.
Nabbed
were Mark B. Candelario, 20, of Camiling, Tarlac and resident here at Gaspel
Residence, Barangay Pinsao and Shane F. Ferrer, 20 of La Trinidad, Benguet, and
resident of Kapangan Central, Kapangan, Benguet and No. 81 Purok 1, Fairview,
Baguio.
Candelario
yielded one stainless tooter including marked money.
A
report said when Candelario and Ferrer were brought to the PDEA, anti-narcotic
agents noticed they had bloodshot eyes and not responding well to questions.
Urine
samples taken from the two suspects were allegedly positive for illegal drugs.
Candelario
and Ferrer were charged April 23 before the Office of the City Prosecutor in
Baguio for illegal drugs.
In
a separate incident, narcotics agents arrested a jobless man with 23 grams of
marijuana in a buy-bust operation here April 19 at Lourdes Grotto.
Patrick
Jeremy S. Quioan, 24, reportedly sold dried marijuana fruiting tops to an
undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera around
10:30 p.m. for P2,000.
Quioan
is 24, single, high school undergraduate, native of Baguio City and resident of
Marville Subdivision, Irisan, Baguio City.
Charges
for illegal drugs were filed against Quioan at the prosecutor’s office.
