Ilocos village exec slain by wife's pal

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A 35-year-old barangay councilman, furious upon seeing his wife in a drinking bout with friends and another man, was shot dead by the latter in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, police said Thursday.

Police said Nomil Quias 35, councilman of Barangay Fuerte, Caoayan town, had a shouting match with his wife

Grace, 32, upon seeing her drinking liquor in a friend’s house.

Quias reportedly turned the group’s drinking table, angering one of his wife’s drinking mates, Rogelio Callejo, 41, who then drew a .45-caliber pistol and shot him in the chest.
