BAGUIO CITY -- The Department of Health has allotted about P5 million for Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service (RN-Heals) Training Program for the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center here for 2013.
BGHMC Advisory Board acting secretary Jovita Pajarillo said, 360 registered nurse trainees were screened and accepted by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of BGHMC. They will train in the hospital for one year.
Priscilla P. Galiste, BGHC Human Resource Management Head, explained that the budget from the DOH through its Health Human Resource Development Bureau, was based on the P 8,000 monthly allowance for each RN Heals trainee for 12 months, payment of one-year Government Service Insurance System group insurance of P180,000 and one-year Philhealth payment worth P 864,000.
BGHMC Dietary Section will also provide free meals to all RN Heals trainees depending on their slated shifting schedules, she said.
Galiste clarified that RN Heals nurses are covered by a one year and non-renewable contract to give chance to other registered nurses to have hospital experiences.
The RN-Heals trainees for 2013 had already started their hospital work last January 2, and expect to end on December 31, 2013.
A Certificate of Completion (COC) is given to each RN heals trainee after satisfactorily completing the RN Heals program.
