Ifugao farmer groups get livelihood assistance

HUNGDUAN, Ifugao - - Seven farmers association in the province received recently a P.7-million worth livelihood aid to fund their various projects.
Brenda Bakakew, information officer of the governor’s office, stated that the livelihood assistance was given by SN Aboitiz Power (SNAP) Magat Power Company to farmers organizations from the municipalities of Hungduan, Kiangan, Lagawe, Lamut, and Tinoc.
“Each association received P100,000 to fund various livelihood projects like reforestation, ginger, rice wine, and vegetable production and betelnut seedling propagation,” Bakakew added.
The projects are expected to help in boosting the livelihood of the beneficiaries.
