PRC starts registration of new nurses: 2 Cordi universities among top 10 performing schools

BAGUIO
CITY -- The Cordillera Administrative Region proved anew it is
the Educational Center of the North with
two of its universities landing in the overall
top performing schools for the May 2014 Nurses Licensure
Examination (NLE).
Benguet
State University (BSU) in La Trinidad, Bneguet and Saint Louis
University( SLU) in Baguio City placed top 4 and 8
respectively.
BSU
garnered 96.94 passing percentage with 95 of its 98
examinees passing the exam while SLU garnered 93.53% (520 of 556
examinees).
A
total of 11,225 out of 29,188 or 38% passed the May 2014 NLE given by the Board
of Nursing in various testing centers nationwide, the Professional
Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.
The
PRC Baguio regional office supervised the NLE in the cities of Baguio, Dagupan,
Cabanatuan, and Laoag. In Baguio, 1,421 of 3,055 examinees (47%) successfully
hurdled the test. In Dagupan, 258 of 931 (28%) passed while in Cabanatuan, 236
of 763 (31%) examinees passed. In Laoag, 195 of 508 (38%) examinees passed.
Successful
Baguio examinees who were included in the Top
10 included (6th place) Bryan FontillasDivino (SLU); (7th) Diana Jaye Caasi Rabut (SLU); (8th) Renz
Patrick Lambino Ocampo (College Of The Holy Spirit Of Tarlac); (9th)
Alvin Klien Clores Abulencia (Virgen Milagrosa Univ. Foundation), Zeny
Rose Orilla Manongdo (Union Christian College), Czar Albert Olsem Munar (SLU),
and Mark Melo Deogracias Vidal (University Of Pangasinan); (10th) Camille Robles
Cruz (Wesleyan University-Phils. Cabanatuan City), Kim Justin Estrada
Infantado( SLU), Queenie Mae Tamayo Narciso ( SLU), Anna Dominique Bautista
Santos ( SLU) and Hannah Monis Talban ( SLU).
According to
Baguio PRC regional director Teofilo Gaius M. Sison,
Jr., registration of the new nurses started July 7,
2014.
To
enable passers to save on travel time and expenses, the PRC regional office
will process initial registration outside of Baguio City.
The
PRC office will process initial registration on first come, first served basis;
no alphabetical queuing.
Those
who register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished oath form
(downloadable at www.prc.gov.ph online registration
system); 2014 community tax certificate (cedula); one documentary stamp and
payment of initial registration fee of P1,050.
Professional
ID cards (PICs) will be issued after the oathtaking ceremonies tentatively
scheduled on August 9, 2014 (Saturday) at the Prince Bernhard Hall, Saint Louis
University, Baguio City from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
