Baguio toasts NBI- CAR for topping 2014 best unit award

BAGUIO CITY – The city council cited the
National Bureau of Investigation-Cordillera Administrative Region for copping
the award as “best organization unit of the year” during the 78th anniversary
celebration of the bureau last Nov. 13.
The body approved a resolution congratulating
the NBI-CAR team saying the award “gives pride and prestige” to the city and
the exemplary performance of the NBI-CAR is worth emulating and serves as an
inspiration to other to other government offices to do their best in
discharging their duties.
House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. and
Justice Secretary Leila De Lima presented the plaques and awards representing
the NBI Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (NBI PRAISE) to
22 officials and employees of the NBI-CAR led by officer-in-charge Florencio
Canlas for exemplary performance and dutiful diligence.
The NBI-CAR team is composed of supervising
agents Darcy Binayan and Paul Alain Moises, senior agents Stanley Dalayon,
Lorenzo Lab-as and Ma. Elena Palaganas, lawyer Linda Annoz, agents Martinelli Cobsen,
Tom Mocnangan, Dr. Ronald Bandonill, Dr. Shiela Via Marie Mapalo, special
investigators Edwin Fianza, Andrew Bacayan, Gerard Butale, Bernard Daweng,
Abner Dotimas, Oscar Mananig and Rhoderic John Panay, Ma. Carina Madrigal,
Maria Carmela Santos, Renato Pablo, Rowena Ruth Valbuena, Allan Dante Santiago,
Lorenzo Balay-oday, Caesar Valencerina, Ernesto Labayog, Ruby Ann Guntan,
William Fotea, Eliza Biswayan, Josephine Kitan, Rodrigo Frias, Rodrgio Oribello
and Roderick Oribello.
During the celebration, supervising agent
Palaganas was also adjudged as the agent achiever of the year in the regional
operations service category.
A separate resolution was approved by the
city council to honor Palaganas’ feat.
