Hedcor guard shoots, hurts 2 Sabangan men

 SABANGAN, Mountain Province -- Two drivers residing at Sitio Nakagang here were shot Jan. 28 by a security guard of Baguio-based Sidekick Security Force now deployed at Otukan-Bauko as security guard of Sta Clara-Hedcor company.

Victims were identified as Glendon Likigan,30, married and Jaypos Bongsalo,27, single who were allegedly shot by suspect Rodney Urios,35.

Sabangan police reports said the shooting incident transpired around 12:55 a.m. of Jan. 28 at Sab-atan Videoke Bar located at Sitio Wabbak of Barangay Losad

Reports said about 1:02 early morning of Jan. 28, a call from Erlinda Layugan Dacumus, waitress at Sab-atan Videoke informed police  about the shooting in said establishment.

Police found  a man lying down outside the comfort room of said establishment asking for help saying he was shot.

He was later identified as Glendon Likigan. The other victim identified as Jaypos Bongsalo who was also shot as he drove his vehicle brought himself to Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital at nearby Bauko  town while Likigan was brought to LHMRH for medical treatment by responding policemen.

Following investigation, Sabangan chief of police Alyson Kalang-ad said Likigan was shot at his back when he was about to go to the  comfort room.

Investigators recovered three fired Cal. 9 mm fired cartridge cases and a 9 mm cartridge. 

Kalang-ad said two other security guards of same company Mark Dennis Ocampo, 27 and Wayne Galang, 31 and two other security guards of  Sta Catalina-Hedcor complained to police that Urius allegedly took their cell phones and money. – Gina Dizon
