TABUK CITY, Kalinga
--Stop the illegal drugs trade and rid the province especially
of schools of drug pushers and users.
This was the first
directive of newly organized Kalinga Provincial Police Office
Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) to law enforcers.
Gov. JocelBaac,
speaking as member of PAC, urged the police to heighten their campaign against
illegal drugs in response to public clamor particularly from parents that
said prohibited drugs have become a menace affecting
the growth and education of students.
This was also
reiterated during the 3rd regular quarterly meeting of the Provincial Peace and
Order Council meeting where the police were also challenged to
cleanse their ranks of alleged coddlers and protectors of illegal drugs.
OIC provincial police
director Senior Supt. George Daskeo, promised he will never tolerate police
coddlers and protectors under his watch. “As long as I am the provincial
director, those allegations of police coddling and protecting criminals will
never happen,” he said.
