Calasiao mayor’s supporter slain

CALASIAO, Pangasinan — Adolfo Fernandez, Jr., a well-known businessman in this province and identified as a supporter of Mayor Mark Roy Macanlalay of this town, was gunned down near the cockpit arena, here Nov. 15. The 59-year-old businessman succumbed to a bullet wound in the head after being shot by a lone gunman around 3:30 p.m. Sunday inside his Toyota Fortuner. Macanlalay has ordered homicide investigators to make sure no stone is left unturned in unmasking those behind his friend’s killing. -- LiezleBasaIñigo
