TRINIDAD, Benguet – New Benguet State University officials chosen by BSU
president Dr. Feliciano Calora Jr. will assume office last week as the prime
university is set to embark on more development programs.
During turnover rites, Dr. Jones Feleciano,
outgoing vice president for business affairs urged the new administration to
continue, if not, go beyond accomplishments which the previous administration
accomplished.
Effective August 1, till the end of the year,
BSU will be having its new designated vice presidents: Dr. Silvestre Aben and
Dr. Tessie Merestela who will succeed doctors Jones Feleciano and Percyveranda
Lubrica in administration of business and academic affairs of BSU
respectively.
In turn-over ceremonies here Monday, Feleciano
and Lubrica delivered their final messages before co-employees and students as
vice presidents.
Feleciano highlighted his accomplishments during
his term as vice president of Business Affairs which he hopes to foster further
through his successor, Dr Aben.
“Previous average net income revenue
remittance of the past administration was P8 million a year as of December
2011. That said income revenue increased 150% that’s equivalent to 13 million
in my first year which outstandingly ballooned to 25 million a 294% leap as of
December 31, 2015,” said Feleciano.
294%
leap was attributed to collective efforts of the University of Business Affairs
(UBA) office along with the guidance of former University President Dr. Ben
Ladilad, according to Feleciano.
This
leap in the profit of BSU was also the reason why in four years the University
didn’t increase its tuition.
He said he hoped to see collective efforts
would be done by succeeding designees from vice presidents to the directors,
deans and department chairs for the benefit of the University and its patrons.
Feleciano said he believes new BSU executives
were chosen thoroughly by BSU President Dr. Feliciano Calora Jr. through his
appointing authority granted by our laws, because of their professionalism,
potentials, performance and other factors necessary in their functions for
effective management in the delivery of the best interest of the University and
its benefactors.
rough
the stormiest seas.”
Feleciano then hand over the keys of the
Office of the University Of Business Affairs to Aben the upcoming BSU UBA vice
president.
