2 teens drown in Ilocos Norte

Two teenagers died in separate drowning incidents in Ilocos Norte over the weekend, police said.

The first fatality was identified by police as Lebron James T. Domingo, 14, a Grade 9 student of the City of Batac National High School and resident of Barangay Magnuang, Batac City.

Domingo was swimming with five of his friends at the D’ Coral Beach Resort, Barangay Pias Sur, Currimao town, when he drowned. The Police Maritime Group (PMG) recovered the boy’s body at 6:40 a.m. last Saturday.

The other victim of drowning was Robyc Bal, also 14, of Barangay Tapao-Tigue, Currimao. Police said he drowned in a fish pond in the same barangay.
