52% pass nurses licensure exam; registration dates set

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 5,059 out of 9,691 or 52.20% passed the June 2019 nurse licensure examination given by the Board of Nursing in 12 testing centers nationwide.

Juanita L. Domogen, OIC of PRC-CAR bared this saying pursuant to PRC Resolution No. 2004-223 dated July 19, 2004, results of examinations are final and requests for reconsideration of failing grades are not allowed.

Domogen, who is also PRC regional coordinator for Region 1 said in Baguio, 482 of 1,051 examinees (45.86%) successfully hurdled the test.

As per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010 with 45 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage, the top performing school in Region I was University of Pangasinan with 85.83 percentage of passers with out of 76 as total number of examinees, 65 passed.

Domogen said registration of license is ongoing. Log on to online.prc.gov.ph or online1.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: Online-generated Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission or valid ID (for identification only), two pieces passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete with name tag), and two sets of documentary stamps.               

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

In order to save on travel time and expenses, passers may transact during scheduled mobile outreach services, as follows: July 6 in Urdaneta City Pangasinan at CB Mall, 2nd Fl. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on July 10 in Agoo, La Union at La Union Medical Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On July 11, it will be held at Candon City Hall, Candon City and July 12 in San Fernando City, La Union at Ilocos Regional Training and Medical Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.   

On July 19, it will be held at the Alaminos City Sports Complex in Alaminos, Pangasinan from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Professional ID cards will be issued during the oathtaking ceremonies.
