Armed men guard disputed Sagada lot; cops find rifles, bullets

 SAGADA, Mountain Province – Unidentified armed men guarding a disputed land here at Sitio Pegeo, Antadao disappeared after police searched the area around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Police found two M16 and one Carbine rifles with magazines. The M16 magazine had 39 bullets while five bullets were inserted in the magazine of the Carbine.

Police tried to locate the owners of said firearms but they could not be found.

Said rifles were brought to Sagada police station.

Still unidentified men earlier burned two houses at the disputed lot even as some elders conducted rituals in the area a few days ago.
