2 men held for homicide, rape in Kalinga, Benguet

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested two top most wanted persons charged with criminal cases in Kalinga and Benguet.
The No. 9 TMWP of Kalinga was captured May 1, 2020 in Bayabat, Dilag, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
OIC provincial police director Col. Davy Vicente Limmong, identified the suspect as Abraham Laguitao Gunnawa, 30, farmer of Tuliao, Calanan, Tabuk City.
Abraham was charged for homicide and violation of Presidential Decree 705 (Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines) with a recommended bail bond of P120,000 for each case.
                Victims Clinton Lao-ang Serquina (who died upon arrival in the hospital),  Ronie Antolin Serquina and Ranny Antolin Serquina were hacked in Tuliao, Calanan, Tabuk City afternoon of July 15, 2019 by suspects Abraham Gunnawa, Lino Payason Gunnawa who was arrested March 9 while Gonzales Gunnawa and Rexam Gunnawa aka Eyadan were captured on July 15 last year.
The motive of the incident was family feud.
                Abraham Gunnawa was object of warrant issued by Judge Jerson E. Angog, presiding judge of RTC, 2nd Judicial Region, Branch 25, Bulanao, Tabuk City.
                Meanwhile, the suspect of a rape case, tagged top most wanted in Benguet was in Ampasit, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet in the evening of May 4.
Provincial police director Col. Elmer Ragay, identified the arrested suspect as Jhony Manman Abance, 31, farmer, and a boarder of Ampasit.
Abance was charged for three counts of rape after he raped a 16 year old student inside his boarding house on Oct. 19, 2018.
Abance’s arrest warrant was issued by Judge Marietta S. Brawner-Cualing, presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 9, Family Court for Benguet Province, La Trinidad Benguet.
Regional police director Brig. Gen. Arwin Pagkalinawan said his men  are conducting manhunt operations against suspects with warrants of arrest.
