Archie Langpawen
By Gina Dizon

SAGADA, Mountain Province - A resident of this tourist town has been missing since March 13 after he reportedly went to the capital town of Bontoc, around 45 minutes from here to get his loan.
Relatives and concerned folks urged the public to report to authorities whereabouts of Archie Langpawen, 49 saying they were wondering why it is only until now that he was reported missing two months after he disappeared.
In her Facebook post, Emilia Tabcao, younger sister of Langpawen and based at Hongkong as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) asked help of the public on whereabouts of his older brother Archie.
Langpawen works as staff of St Joseph Guest House in Sagada.
Since childhood, Langpawen had been under the care of Sisters of St Mary the Virgin Sagada, specially by the late Sister Mary Francis. Langpawen traces his roots from Maligcong, Bontoc.
Langpawen asked for a leave of absence for 10 days saying he will be going to his hometown at Maligcong.
In the Facebook post of Tabcao dated May 6, Emilia Tabcao said it was only now that she came to know that her brother was missing from her cousin based in Bontoc.
Tabcao said the last time she knew of his brother was in 2018 when she came to Sagada and came to know about his brother’s supposed girlfriend from Pangasinan but that was not possible because the girl is reportedly married.
Tabcao said the former manager of St Joseph Guest House told her that Langpawen would be securing his loan at Bontoc and proceed to Baguio City. It was learned that he got his loan on March 13.
According to their relatives, Langpawen did not go to Maligcong nor did he go to the house of a relative where he spends a night or day whenever he goes to Baguio, Tabcao added.
A co-worker at St Joseph Guest House said they have repeatedly tried to contact Langpawen at his cellphone after his 10-day leave but to no avail.
They thought he was in Maligcong because of the lockdown.
Tabcao in her Facebook post appealed to the public to also share her post to residents of Pangasinan for the possible whereabouts of Archie.
Police at Sagada, Bontoc and Baguio were informed of Langpawen as missing.
Anyone who has knowledge of the whereabouts of Archie Langpawen was urged to send a message to Emilia Tabcao at her Facebook Messenger account, to Harry Tabcao with mobile number 09153734457  or to authorities.
