Vizcaya Covid deaths reach 8

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya - Another death has been added to the list of fatalities in Nueva Vizcaya due to Covid-19.
Dr. Edwin Galapon confirmed Tuesday the death of CV836, a 54-year-old male from barangay Poblacion North in Solano town, bringing the total Covid-19 deaths in the province to 8.
He said CV 836 passed away Tuesday at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center (RT2MC) in this town.
He first experienced cough and difficulty of breathing on August 24 and was swabbed on August 31.
His swab test result came out on Sept. 2 confirming he is positive for the virus.
"Again our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May we all heed the minimum health protocols always to avoid being infected. We are appealing to your cooperation and support," Galapon added.
Health officials also announced Tuesday three recoveries and four additional COVID-19 cases.
The recovered patients were CV 596 (44-year-old male from Purok 2, Bascaran, Solano), CV 649 (84-year-old female from Saquing St., Don Mariano Marcos, Bayombong) and CV 663 (64-year-old male from Dupan St., Quirino, Solano) who were all discharged.
The new cases: CV 983, a 59-year-old male from Paniki, Bagabag with exposure to wife CV 978.
CV 984 (age for verification) is a male from Quirino, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. Case is inpatient at R2TMC.
CV 985 is a 71-year-old male from Bagahabag, Solano with no travel history and his history of exposure is yet to be determined. Case is inpatient at R2TMC.
CV 986 is a 55- year-old female from Magsaysay, Bayombong with no travel history and her history of exposure is yet to be determined.
Case was inpatient at R2TMC.
As of Sept. 9, the total confirmed cases in the province is at 201 with 153 total active cases, 40 total recovered cases and 8 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic started. -- PIA Nueva Vizcaya
