Kalinga posts 1,734 Covid cases; tests on

TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- Ten barangay local government units here and two Kalinga municipalities are now conducting aggressive community testing up to Feb. 25 since it started last week. As of Feb. 15, Kalinga had a total of 1,734 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
    The province has 264 active cases, 1,455 recoveries and 15 deaths.
    The National Disaster Risk Management Council-Regional Task Forceon Coronavirus Disease 2019 has given at least 7,805 slots for three LGUs of Kalinga. 5,000 kits were allotted for Tabuk City, 1,205 for Pasil municipality and 1,600 for Lubuagan municipality.
The 10 barangays to conduct ACT in Tabuk City include Bulanao Norte, Malinawa, Balawag, Bulanao Centro, Agbannawag, Bado Dangwa, Casigayan New Tanglag, Dagupan Centro, and Dagupan Western. The testing dates in the City will be from 18 to 22 February.
Barangays Cagaluan, Guina-ang and Malucsad were identified for ACT in the municipality of Pasil. Barangays of Mabongtot, Lower Uma, Poblacion, Mabilong and Dango were also identified as recipients in Lubuagan. The ACT in the two s will be from 22 to 25 February 2021.
The swab samples will be brought to the molecular laboratory in the province of La Union.

Isabela municipal hall locked down

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — The municipal government building of San Agustin, Isabela was closed on Monday after eight employees at the treasurer’s office were found positive for Covid-19.
    The lockdown until Wednesday was ordered for disinfection and contact tracing.
    The municipal health office urged those who were exposed to the patients to undergo self-quarantine and seek assistance from its office or barangay health workers.
    San Agustin recorded 36 Covid-19 cases, nine of them active.
