LUNA, Apayao -- The Dept. of Health Cordillera urged
strengthening of
“prevent-detect-isolate-treat-reintegrate” (PDITR) strategy in
Apayao to lessen Covid-19 infections.
DOH regional director Ruby Constantino in her visit to the province discussed with Gov, Eleanor Bulut-Begtang and health officials the province’s health situation and activities of the DOH and provincial government to provide provincial folks better health services.
Markrobin Daguio of the Apayao Provincial Health Office said the PDITR strategy down to rural areas will help prevent further Covid transmission.
Constantino urged expansion of hospital beds and isolation facilities in the province.
This can be basis for the declaration of the community quarantine status in the province particularly lowering the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine to a less stringent General Community Quarantine.
Constantino also visited the DOH-managed and Covid-19 referral hospitals which include the Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center and the Conner District Hospital and training and monitoring facilities to distribute equipment such as ventilators, oximeters and mechanical beds.
She commended Apayao officials and folks for improving utilization of vaccines.
