Mt Province PNP arts tilt winners given cash

Province – The Police Provincial Office awarded winners in the “Sining
bayanihan arts and culture” competition in the province here in Camp Montes on
June 21.
The nationwide competition of the Philippine National Police for the youth is done per province.
Here, representatives of Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo chapters from municipalities participated.
Theme was “Kabataan tayo mismo: Malikhain at matapang na pagtugon sa anumang hamon ng panahon.”
Participants submitted entries for the categories of performing, literary and visual arts including short film making.
Winners for performing arts: 1st – Besao dance group and Jhun Rush Lopsoten Besao KKDAT, second.
For literary arts: 1st – Clienteast Van Totanes (Tadian) and Carmen Malabong (Sagada as second.
For visual arts: 1st - Clienteast Van Totanes (Tadian) and Pipfer Holly Lingbawan (PMFC) as second.
Barlig Junior Pulis won the short film making category.
Winners were awarded with certificates and cash donated by stakeholders. Further, the winners in each category will represent Mountain Province PPO for regional level competition.
Judges were Mark Preston D. Lopez, lawyer Agosto C. Libang, Jazzel Mae P. Masidong, and MSg Guensel Oloan.
The nationwide competition aims to promote youth empowerment, resourcefulness, active citizenry and participation in nation building, religiousness and respect for family and people.
