P1M model farm set in ISU Echague

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela - A proposed P1 million modern farm project will be established inside the Isabela State University (ISU) - Echague main campus.
The said model farm project is a joint efforts and resources of the National Irrigation Administration - Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-MRIIS) Department of Agriculture (DA) and LGU Echague respectively.
NIA-MRIIS Institutional Development Section head Veronica Aron said the three government offices have already signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the establishment of the said project inside the ISU Echague campus.
Aron said the model farm project will have an area of 400 square meters and will be supervised and maintained by NIA - MRIIS Division 1 employees and a selected irrigators association including some faculty and staff of ISU.
She said the model farm will have a greenhouse structure and will be using drip irrigation technology to showcase the harvesting of various agriculture products aside from rice and corn. PIA 2-Isabela
