BAGUIO CITY – Several business establishments here are giving incentives to individuals who have received the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine.
Based on the list by the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC) as of July 8, a total of 26 establishments have joined in the giving of discounts, perks, and freebies to a vaccinated person.
Among the establishments that give incentives to vaccinated persons are Swiss Baker, Nail House, Tiongsan La Trinidad, Tiongsan Campo Sioco, Tiongsan Notre Dame, Chowking, Zark's Burger, David Salon, Chili's, The SM Store, DC, Auntie Anne's, Artwork, Mesa, Jollibee, Mc Donalds, Macao Imperial Tea, Koomi, Manam, The Travel Club, Kureji, Potato Corner, Buffalo's Wings N' Things, Tiger Sugar, Mango Tree Cafe, and Mang Inasal, among others.
In support of the initiative of business establishments that started giving perks and discounts, the BTC is calling on all its members to follow suit.
“They have different promos. Some give five percent to 15 percent discount, others give gifts and giveaways and some give a discount after a minimum purchase,” Valeree Nolasco of the BTC said.
She said the person simply has to show the original vaccination card, a vaccination certificate from the Health Services Office, or the quick response (QR) code that has the name of the person accompanied by an Identification card.
Nolasco said the establishment has poster showing its promo for vaccinated individuals, noting it was the establishments that initiated the discounts and perks as part of their community social responsibility program.
“The BTC would like to thank business establishments in the city who have taken the initiative to provide perks and discounts for fully vaccinated individuals," she said.
"This is aligned with the efforts of the city to promote a positive response to being vaccinated,” the BTC said in a statement.
The BTC is a non-stock non-profit organization composed of private and public agencies to unite and elevate the different sectors of businesses in the city. -- PNA
