Cordillera Covid vaccinations reach 122,622 priority folks

BAGUIO
CITY — The Cordillera Regional Vaccination Operations Center reported that
122,622 eligible priority population were inoculated since the Covid – 19
vaccination rollout in Cordillera last March. Of
the number, 56,190 individuals were fully vaccinated or have completed their
two doses of vaccines.
Based on the Cordillera RVOC RESBAKUNA bulletin as of June 22, of the 122,622 eligible population in the region vaccinated first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, 42,517 are frontline health workers (A1); 41,539 are senior citizens (A2); 37,832 are adults with co – morbidities (A3); 673 are essential service workers (A4) and 61 are under priority A5 or the poor population.
Of the vaccinated population, 72,029 received Sinovac vaccine; 39,878 with AstraZeneca; 300 with Gamaleya Sputnik V while 10,415 received Pfizer vaccine.

For
those who already completed their vaccination, 30,668 are from Priority A1;
13,088 are A2, and 12,434 from the A3 group.
The
RVOC also reported that as of June 22, a total of 230,200 doses of COVID – 19
vaccines was allotted for Cordillera, mostly Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
Only Baguio City received Gamaleya (300 doses) and Pfizer (35,100 doses) as it
is the only local government unit that has available freezers that can handle
the super cool temperature requirement of said vaccines.
RVOC
chairperson and Dept. of Health – Cordillera regional director Ruby Constantino
said the national VOC decides allocation and deployment of vaccines
generally based on capacity of LGUs to handle vaccines, utilization or
vaccination capacity and on the Covid – 19 risk level in the community.
With
the expected arrival of more vaccines, Constantino urged local vaccination
operations centers and implementing units to learn from their experiences and
continue upgrading their vaccination and deployment micro plans.
She
told “Tutok A2” program workers to expedite all strategies to reach out to the
remaining unvaccinated senior citizens in the region. — PIA Cordillera
