P1.3M MJ seized in Kalinga hotel

POLICE and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents seized these dried
marijuana leaves worth P1.3 million in Tabuk City, Kalinga last week.
TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- Authorities seized P1.3-million worth of dried
marijuana leaves at a hotel here in Bakras, Bulanao Centro last week.
Col. Davy Vicente Limmong, provincial director of Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the suspects as Cindy Paclay Addawi, 40, and Saldy Solog Wasigan, 28, both unemployed and residents of Tabuk City.
They were arrested after they reportedly sold the contraband to an undercover agent inside the hotel on July 30.
The seized items included 10 marijuana bricks weighing 11 kilos, a mobile phone, a motorcycle, and marked peso bills.
Markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were done at the site witnessed by media, Dept. of Justice representatives and a barangay kagawad (village councilor).
Addawi and Pasigan were charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
