48,894 Abra folks fully vaxxed

BANGUED, Abra -- Some 48,894 Abra residents are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of Oct. 17. 
    This comprises 40.57% of  total eligible population of Abra.  
    The Provincial Task Force is set to vaccinate 72,106 Abra folks  to reach 70% herd immunity by December in the province.
    A total of 68,393 individuals or 56.74% of the total target population  already received their first dose. 
PTF chairperson Gov. Joy Bernos said that they were expanding the mass vaccination next week.  
    She urged the Dept. of Health regional office to continuously provide  enough supply of vaccines  so they can inoculate around 5,900 individuals  a day. 
    The mass vaccination led by the provincial government dubbed “Abreño:Bakunado, Protektado” is being done in all towns of the province.
    Since the start of mass vaccination, more than 100,000  vaccines were administered.
    Provincial task force officials said as mass vaccination continues, number of positive cases will go down.
    The Provincial Task Force urged Abra folks to get vaccinated now as mass vaccination is already under open category which allows all persons from A1-A5 category to register.
     All vaccinees were urged to register at a google link created by the provincial government to make vaccination process efficient and prevent uncontrolled mass gathering at vaccination sites.
