Igorot colonel gets PNP ‘Best Performance’ nat’l award

Col. Robert S. Daculan of Benguet was presented the prestigious “Best Performing Senior Police Officer in the Field of Operation” award by Philippine National Police Chief Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar during the 41st Civil Security Group founding anniversary on Oct. 11 at Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Col. Daculan who was formerly Chief of the Operations Management Division of the Civil Security Group is now the Chief of the Security and Licensing Division, Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA) in Camp Crame. – March Fianza

Ifugao native new Ifugao PNP chief
LAGAWE, Ifugao – A native of the tourist town of Banaue is now the new provincial police director.
Col. James D. Mangili assumed the post during turn-over of command ceremony here at the provincial police office grounds Oct. 27.
The event was presided by Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee E attended by government provincial and representatives of provincial line agencies, Provincial Advisory Council, town chiefs of police among others.
Mangili officially received the Ifugao PPO flag and inventory book from outgoing police provincial director Col. David D. Mariano to symbolize passing of authority and responsibilities of the position.
Mariano thanked provincial officials and Ifugao police for being supportive of his programs during his tenure.
Mangili acknowledged advocacies of the previous provincial police leadership and committed to carry on what his predecessor started to maintain peace and order in the province.
He asked Ifugao police for their cooperation during his term for a peaceful community.

Oct. 28.
Lt. Gen. Israel Ephraim Dickson, native of Abra, was greeted with traditional Tinguian dance performed by city cops.
He was welcomed by Baguio police director Col. Glenn D. Lonogan.
Dickson presented awards to deserving police officers for operational accomplishments in arrest of wanted persons and campaign against illegal drugs.
A meeting was later held on fighting crime and “whole-of-nation” approach against insurgency.
Dickson urged Cordillera police to maintain professionalism in performance of their duties and responsibilities to serve and protect the people and address peace and order problems particularly on illegal drugs and insurgency.
