Mayoral bet: 1-strike law' vs govt men

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan -- Mayoral candidate Maila Rosario Ting-Que said in her campaign speeches that she will enforce a 'one strike policy' on erring government employees if she wins in the May 9 election.
    "I-implement po natin ang one strike policy upang mapanatili ang ating adhikain na good governance at transparency," Ting-Que, whose campaign thrust is to improve the government system by removing public servants who abuse authority, said.
    The mayoral candidate also urged voters, especially Tuguegaraoeños, to be critical in selecting local and national leaders in the upcoming elections.
    "Kayo na po ang humusga sa sinasabi ko bilang kandidato dito sa ating syudad. Ako po ay walang kaso at walang bahid ng corruption," she said.
    Ting-Que is known as the number one city councilor in Tuguegarao and an ex-officio board member in the province of Cagayan.
    She is the only daughter of the late mayor of Tuguegarao City, Delfin Ting.
