Dy, Albano clans reassert political might in Isabela

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela -- The ruling Dy and Albano clans reasserted their political might in Isabela with 10 Dys and three Albanos already proclaimed in various posts on May 10.
    Unopposed, incumbent Vice Gov. Faustino "Bojie" Dy 3rd was proclaimed on his second consecutive term while his son Faustino "Inno" Dy 5th won anew as sixth district representative against former Comelec commissioner Armando Velasco.
    Another son, Mayor Francis Faustino "Kiko" Dy won his reelection against retired military officer Miguel Culang in Echague town.
    In Cauayan City, the vice governor's nephew, city councilor Ceasar Jaycee Dy (son of former mayor Ceasar Dy) won with 44,326 votes against his uncle, Bill Dy (half-brother of the vice governor), who got 27,424 votes. Ceasar would replace his cousin, Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy (son of late governor Benjamin Dy), whose third term ends on June 30 this year. Vice Mayor Leoncio Dalin Jr. is proclaimed unopposed with 59,110 votes.
    Another Bojie Dy nephew, Third District Rep. Ian Paul Dy (son of three-term congressman Napoleon Dy) was also proclaimed unopposed.
    Another nephew, Fifth District Rep. Michael Faustino Dy (son of former governor Faustino Dy Jr.) was also proclaimed.
    The vice governor's brothers, Victor Dy and Faustino "King" Dy 4th won provincial board seats in the fourth and fifth districts, respectively, while another brother, Faustino Dondon Dy won the San Manuel mayoral post.
    Another nephew, Benjamin Isabelo Dy (son of the late governor Benjamin Dy) was the first-ranked councilor in Cabatuan town.
    Inno Dy's wife and Bojie's daughter-in-law, incumbent Rep. Alyssa Sheena Tan-Dy won with 43,416 votes in a slim margin over Joseph "Otep" Miranda with 42,631 votes.
