Gunman shoots dead lady OFW in Abra canteen

DOLORES, Abra -- An unidentified gunman shot to death a lady Wednesday afternoon (June 1) inside a canteen here at Barangay Talogtog.
    The victim was identified as Jennifer Manaois Belong, female, single, 35, owner of Janice Pancitan, former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), native of Lagayan town and residing at Talogtog.
    Dolores Police said the incident happened around 4:10 p.m. and reported to authorities by a staff of St. Theresa Wellness Center where the victim was rushed around 4:30 p.m.
    Police investigation bared Belong was with her daughters and were having snacks inside their establishment before the shooting.
    Three men entered the canteen and ordered three servings of noodles. After the noodles were served, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times then all the three fled to unknown direction on foot. 
    Belong was rushed by a concerned citizen to St. Theresa Wellness Center located at Sitio Ducam, Barangay Mudiit here and later transferred at Abra Provincial Hospital for further treatment. 
    The victim sustained four gunshot wounds, one on her abdomen, two on  her left leg and one on her right leg.
At about 6 p.m. that day, the victim was declared dead by her attending physician. 
    Police are now probing the incident. Motive has yet to be determined.
